It is here that we will do our very best to document the process of creating our family. We hope you'll stick out the journey with us. We're going to need all the support we can get.

Everybodys Workin' For The Weekend

Haven't exactly known what to write over the last month about our baby journey so we've kept it quiet. That is, until now.

This weekend we head down to Portland, OR for fun and then to Vancouver, WA to visit with our first choice potential surrogate, "T". We've spoken a number of times over the last month and have gotten on magnificently. So, as we've said, "we are cautiously optimistic". Tom and I have discussed it at length and are hopeful. Over the phone we kept it casual, almost like dating, a sort of 'get to know you' type of relationship. It's been fun. We 've both been looking forward to this weekend.

Since the last entry we have added to our family (Neenah). Everyone asks, "Is this the first step?" It's not really, but yet it is - we just didn't know it. We thought we just wanted a dog and, well, don't get me wrong - we did. But it's a lot of work. She's 9 months old and truly a puppy - a well trained puppy but a puppy just the same.

Anyhow, we're taking Neenah with us to Portland to meet "T" since she said herself that sometimes she likes animals more than people. Can't say that I blame her.

That's it for now, it's late. We will definitely update on either Sunday night or Monday with the latest news.

Eli (Larry's godson, I'll have you know) asked me to write the following:
I can't wait to hear about your weekend.
I think you will be the best parents because just look at how great you are with me! Well, mama said you shoulda changed a poopy diaper but I'm not holding that against you. Love you. Good luck! Peace out, Eli
